| Visa required by all except the following nationals for periods not exceeding three months and as long as the passport is still valid for three months beyond length of stay:
- nationals of Britain, Australia, Canada, USA, EU and Japan;
- nationals mentioned under passport exemptions below;
- nationals of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong (SAR), Iceland, Israel, Korea (Rep), Macau (SAR), Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Romania, Singapore, Uruguay, Vatican City and Venezuela;
- passengers continuing their journey by the same or first connecting aircraft within 72 hours provided holding valid onward or return documentation and not leaving the airport (except nationals of certain countries who always need an airport transit visa). Please contact the Consulate for details.
Spouses and children of EU nationals (providing spouse’s passport and the original marriage certificate is produced) receive their visas free of.
It is advisable to have a return ticket, but not obligatory. If a visitor is not in possession of a return ticket, proof of sufficient means of support may be required.
Passport valid for at least three months beyond length of stay is required by all except:
- EU/EEA nationals (EU + Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) and Swiss nationals holding a valid national ID card;
- nationals of Andorra, Monaco and San Marino, holding a valid national ID card.
EU and EEA nationals are only required to produce evidence of their EU/EEA nationality and identity in order to be admitted to any EU/EEA Member State. This evidence can take the form of a valid national passport or national identity card. Either is acceptable. Possession of a return ticket, any length of validity on their document, sufficient funds for the length of their proposed visit should not be imposed. |
